A hold location is a physical location that a shipper has staffed and allows for a package to be picked up by the recipient with a valid form of ID and a way to identify the package. This can be either a store for the shipper that is transporting the package or a local store that provides this service.
All our packages are signature required. If you are not able to accept a package during delivery hours, a hold location is a great alternative. You can use your tracking number to contact the shipper and request your package be routed to a local hold location. When picking up your package make sure you have the tracking number(s) and a valid ID.
Another time holding locations come into play is when we are not able to ship directly to you. Since our boards are classified as dangerous goods we have to abide by certain rules and regulations put into place. We will reach out to you if we are not able to ship to your door and provide the nearest hold location.
